2014 亚洲教育设施设计与技术高峰论坛 Asia Educational Facility Design and Technology Summit

Along with the “China dream” in the nation and around the world attention,educational facility design and technology has played an important role in education area as a teaching charm of ‘Moistens everything silently’. Given the above situation, 2014 Asia Educational Facility Design and Technology Summit opened with great ceremonies on 25th in September.

Representatives from the public and international schools were willing to continue constructive dialogue and exchanges in education field. Including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Xi ‘an Jiaotong University, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Central University of Finance and Economics, China university of petroleum, Beijing University of Technology  , North China Electric Power University, Central Academy of drama, Beijing Dance Academy, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Hebei Construction Engineering College etc. And Dulwich College, yew chung group, Beijing city international school, Tsinghua University Affiliated High School International Division , Western Academy of Beijing, Utahloy International School Guangzhou ,International school of Tianjin, Shenzhen Nanshan International School , University of Nottingham Ningbo China, Beijing international middle school campus, Beijing Eaton International Education Group ,Suzhou Singapore international school, Beijing No.4 High School-International Campus , YK Pao School, Shanghai Community International School, Keystone Academy School, 21st century international school, Kunming International Academy, etc. As well as the Wilshire kindergarten, Maple International Academy, Gymangel International Early Education, Beijing Golden Cradle Education Group, RYB Education Institution, Little Village Montessori School, MIK International kindergarten, etc.

Mr. SHAO, who is from Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, as the chairman of this summit, shared his experience about ‘Achieve the function of education building and manage the construction process’.Then Professor Jue WANG, deputy executive director of National Research Center of School Construction Standards, provide the situation analysis and future trends of China educational facility construction, and school construction standard implementation process. It provided new ways of thinking for all delegates on the construction and development trends of schools. Yangchun LI, who is from National famous university–Zhejiang University, provided a lot of reference to delegates by introducing the general planning and step of capital construction in Zhejiang University. And Christopher L. Groesbeck, the principal from VOA architecture design, presented high rise prototypes for Metropolitan Universities–the Wabash Building for Roosevelt University, Chicago. Mr. Ben Somner from Broadway Malyan told us how to build the 21st century schools.

The special planning was about a brainstorm session in this summit; representatives expressed their opinions on this section and collided the sparks of wisdom. Through the panel discussion about ‘Bridging the gap between the stage of planning & designing’ and ‘stage of teaching & learning of education facility”, audiences got lots of ideas from different angles. During this panel discussion, many representatives’ ideas such as Zhejiang University, Xian Jiaotong University were highly prized by others.

In addition to the major public schools, there were many from the international schools, as well as international department, discussing on the construction of international schools. David Mansfield, headmaster of Dulwich College Beijing, gave his presentation about A’ pedagogical and architectural analysis of education facility’, which made the statement clearly from two angle: spaces and learning. According to the characteristics of the international schools, Rafael Katz, from Shanghai Community International School, and Shannon Behan ,from Sino Bright School, talked about ‘how do schools’ best prepare Chinese student for abroad ‘and ‘ a cooperative approach to international education: opportunities and challenges’, giving professional suggests to all the international schools.

In the technical way, the COO of Keystone Academy School, Dennis Guo, he shared the topic about ‘how technology serves world school’, and after his speech, he joined the panel discussion about ‘How are new generation learning spaces technology impacting student learning’ with Deepak Tyagi, technology director of Beijing No.4 high school-international campus, that was brilliant!

Finally, with the hosting by Max Zhu, director of international school of Tianjing, another brainstorm named ‘how to start a branch campus in a new country, new city, new district’ was finished with a number of delegates from related fields involved in the discussion and interaction.

This two-day summit was ended successfully, and the representatives have gain harvest a lot, and urged the organizers to develop similar professional communication activities. We believe that, on the basis of this summit, public and international schools will expand further cooperation and communications. It will play a very important role in the future construction of this field.

伴随“中国梦”在全国及世界范围内的广泛关注,教育设施的规划和建设作为“润物细无声”的教学魅力也被教育界高度重视。在此背景下,2014亚洲教育设施设计与技术高峰论坛于9月25日在北京隆重召开。

本次论坛由来自国内、国际学校的不同代表展开精彩的对话,掀起了一场兼具建设性和包容性的头脑风暴。与会单位包括清华大学、浙江大学、西安交通大学、北京建筑大学、北京外国语大学、中央财经大学、中国石油大学、北京工业大学、华北电力大学、中央戏剧学院、北京舞蹈学院、西南财经大学、河北建筑工程学院等大学;德威英国国际学校、耀中集团、北京乐成国际学校、清华大学附属中学国际部、北京京西学校、昆明国际学校、广州誉德莱国际学校、天津开发区国际学校、深圳南山国际学校 、宁波诺丁汉大学、北京四中国际校区、苏州新加坡国际学校、北京伊顿国际教育集团、包玉刚实验学校、上海长宁国际学校、北京鼎石国际学校、二十一世纪国际学校、广州誉德莱国际学校等;以及威尔夏幼儿园、枫叶幼儿园、积木宝贝国际早教、北京金色摇篮教育集团、红黄蓝幼儿园、天使宝贝幼儿园、蒙特梭利小镇国际幼儿园、博识梦飞国际幼儿园等。

首先,来自北京建筑大学的邵宗义处长作为本次大会的执行主席与大家分享了“教育建筑功能的实现与过程管理”的经验。学校建设标准国家研究中心的王珏院长为到场的各位嘉宾就“中国学校建设现状分析、未来趋势,及建设标准方面实施的进程”做出了一些分析。为在座嘉宾对学校建设发展趋势提供了新思路。随后,来自国内著名高等学府浙江大学的基建处总师办李主任为大家分享了“浙江大学的总体规划和建设步伐”,为来自不同高等学校的教育同仁提供了诸多借鉴。来自美国VOA维可建筑设计咨询的执行董事Christopher先生为大家呈现了都市大学高层建筑的技术原型—芝加哥罗斯福大学沃巴什大厦,来自宝麦蓝(上海)建筑设计咨询副董事Ben先生更是向大家展示了如何创造二十一世纪的学校。

本次大会还特别策划了头脑风暴环节,各代表在会场上各抒己见,碰撞出激烈智慧的火花。就实现教育设施“规划设计阶段”与“教学使用阶段”的有效衔接,注重规划设计的管理,充分调研和整理需求,确保实际使用效果这一话题进行了深刻对话,从各个角度为学校面临的设施与教学的结合问题提供了不少方式与思路。其中,来自浙江大学,西安交通大学,大连理工大学的领导等进行的精彩发言得到了一致好评。

除了来自各大公立学校以外,会上也有不少来自国际学校以及国际部的嘉宾对国际学校的建设进行了探讨和交流。来自德威英国学校的David校长做了题为“从教育学和建筑学来分析当代的教育设施”的发言,从空间和学习两个方面对当前学校建设发展做出了阐述。针对于国际学校特点,上海长宁国际学校的主管Rafael先生就学校如何为中国学生出国留学做最好的准备的话题为同行提供了专业性的建议,同时作为国际学校建设的重要组成部分进行了经验上的分享。并由阿姆斯壮(中国)有限公司的罗佳女士带来了极具国际级中国实战经验的案例分享——《天花板在学校中的应用》的主题发言。此外,SBS加拿大海外学校的Shannon校长也针对国际教育合作方式的机遇与挑战分享了自己的见解。在技术层面,来自北京鼎石国际学校首席运营官Dennis先生分享了如何运用科技建设和服务世界学校,并随后与北京四中国际校区的Deepak主任以及北京京西学校的Johnnie一起就科技这一话题,关于“新时代学习空间技术的应用将如何影响学生的学习”这一问题展开了激烈的探讨,精彩纷呈。

最后,在天津开发区国际学校的董事会成员朱峰先生主持下,进行了一场关于“如何在新的国家,新的城市,同城新区来拓展新的校区”这一新形势下国际学校所关注的话题讨论。多位来自相关领域的代表参与了现场讨论和互动。

为期两天的2014亚洲教育设施设计与技术高峰论坛圆满结束,值得鼓舞的是,会议结束后,各代表纷纷表示收获颇多,并强烈呼吁主办方开展类似专业的交流活动。相信在此次工作会议的基础上,国内国际学校会展开更进一步的合作与交流。会议所达成的共识,对日后亚洲教育建设起到了很好的指导作用。
